curious life · the maker

Who makes this.

One question, the people building toward it, and an instrument held to the standard of never inventing anything.

Curious Life is founded by Martin Balodis: biologist by training, entrepreneur by calling. Before this he co-founded Humy (Hello History), an AI education company that reached more than 500,000 learners, and FACING IT, a behavioral program for social anxiety. Curious Life is the current work: a practice and an open laboratory for one question, whether focused attention can lean physical randomness away from chance. He does not build it alone: collaborators shape the work, and they will appear on this page as the project grows.

The work is held to stated principles. The measurement mechanism is open source, MIT licensed, with its science and self-tests on the record. Nothing on the site is invented: every figure, sound, and exercise derives from a real, fresh measurement, and a channel that cannot prove itself produces silence rather than fabrication. The site never claims the field responds to attention; that is the open question, not the premise. The reasoning is laid out in the method.

The instrument does not stand alone. The site takes part in the Global Consciousness Project 2.0, the worldwide network of physical random sources hosted in ordinary homes, and its lineage runs through the fifty years of laboratory work that came before it. A sister project, Mycelium, carries the practice record: free and open-source infrastructure for personal data, with your rights preserved.
